Sweden sees China as big export market

Swedish Trade Minister Eva Bjorling Thursday said that to achieve Sweden's goal of doubling its export over the next five years, the key regions to tap the potential will be the newly emerged markets including China.

"I think the export area is not just focusing on environmental technologies, but also in health care, education and many areas," Bjorling told a seminar on Swedish export organized by a Swedish weekly business magazine Veckans Affarer.

"Definitely China is a vast potential market for Sweden's export since China is in a transition period from resource extensive development period to resource efficient period, Sweden has big opportunities in the Chinese market,"said Peter Yngwe, CEO of Swedish Export Credit Corporation.

Anna Kornung, chief editor of Veckans Affarer told Xinhua that there is great interest in China from the Swedish side but they wonder what is the best to enter the Chinese market.

Ulf Lindberg, CEO of Enhancer, said that his company adds a new scientific dimension to the development and the clarification of a company's strategic mission, and to the creation of the required organizational conditions for its implementation.

"It can be used by a higher level of government sector to evaluate the leadership of its subordinate organizations, maybe it is of interest for China too," Lindberg said.

About 300 people who are either exporters or in the field of export attended the seminar.

Sweden is an export oriented country. Its export volume accounts for about 50 percent of its total GDP.
