Eastern China's Jiangxi Province recorded 4.95 billion U.S. dollars in foreign trade in the first four months of this year, a growth of 47 percent from the same period of last year.

The total included 2.76 billion dollars in exports, up 41.6 percent, and 2.19 billion dollars in imports, up 54.4 percent.

The export growth rate was 4.3 percentage points and the import growth rate was 12.4 percentage points higher than the national average.

The province's exports to ASEAN members rose 65.3 percent; those to India were up 64.2 percent; to Brazil, up 231.2 percent; and to Iran, up 201.7 percent.
