Chinese equities close higher at midday Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 11.11 points, or 0.42 percent, to finish the morning session at 2,677.41 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 25.13 points or 0.22 percent to end at 11,307.47 points at midday.
