Vice Premier Li Keqiang expressed the hope on Tuesday that China and Japan would work together to promote the stable growth and the upgrading of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Li made the remarks in his meeting with a Japanese business group.
Li said that the two countries' economies are highly compatible, and hoped that the two countries seize the opportunity of the adjustment of global industry structure and give full play to their own advantages.
The two countries can cement cooperation in such areas as energy, environmental protection, circular economy, high technology and post-disaster reconstruction and thus push for the advancement of stable growth and upgrading of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, Li said.
The delegation of the Japan-China Association on Economy and Trade (JCAET), led by JCAET President Cho Fujio and top advisor Yonekura Hiromasa, consists of over 180 businessmen from prominent Japanese companies.
Li said to develop long-term stable and good-neighborly relations meets the fundamental interests of both countries and peoples and also benefits peace, stability and prosperity of Asia and the world at large.
He called on both sides to enhance dialogue, increase mutual trust and deepen cooperation to boost healthy growth of China-Japan strategic and mutually beneficial relations.
He also expressed hope that Japanese entrepreneurs to continue contributions to the healthy and steady development of bilateral ties.
Cho and Yonekura vowed to make positive efforts for enhanced Japan-China relations and trade cooperation.
