Chinese shares ended higher at midday Monday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.9 percent, or 56.7 points, to close at 3,035.54.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 2.25 percent, or 301.31 points, to close at 13,668.54.
