Chinese shares opened lower Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.48 percent or 13.37 points to 2,768.03 at the opening.
The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.55 percent or 67.50 points to 12,235.68 at the opening.
