Chinese shares opened higher Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.09 percent or 2.49 points to 2,735.48 at the opening.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.14 percent or 16.29 points to 12,080.1 at the opening.
