Chinese equities opened lower on Monday, tracking the Friday Wall Street losses after the U.S. regulators charged Goldman Sachs with fraud.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index went down 1.07 percent to open at 3,096.78 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index edged down 1.36 percent to 12,248.02 points.
