Chinese equities rebounded slightly Friday after falling for two consecutive trading days, thanks to gains in property and Xinjiang-related shares.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 1.08 percent to close at 2,583.52 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 2.65 percent to 10,209.07 points at the close.
Total turnover expanded to 156.19 billion yuan (22.87 billion U.S. dollars) from 130.96 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
Gainers outnumbered losers by 725 to 123 in Shanghai and 800 to 101 in Shenzhen.
