Chinese equities opened almost flat Thursday with benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.05 percent to open at 2,635.05.

The Shenzhen Component Index climbed 0.21 percent, or 22.34 points, to open at 10,847.51.

Agricultural Bank of China opened flat at 2.84 yuan Thursday in Shanghai.

A-share of Agricultural Bank of China started to be built into a series indices for Chinese stocks Thursday, including the Shanghai Compostie Index and Hushen 300 Index, after the bank made its stock exchange debut in Shanghai on July 15.
