Chinese equities closed higher at midday Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 25.13 points, or 0.94 percent, to end the morning session at 2,688.34.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 177.58 points, or 1.54 percent, to close the morning session at 11,708.57.
