Chinese equities closed slightly higher at midday Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 6.71 points, or 0.26 percent, to end the morning session at 2,609.17.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 79.38 points, or 0.71 percent, to close the morning session at 11,243.40.
