Chinese equities closed higher at midday Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 24.75 points, or 0.94 percent, to end the morning session at 2,647.64.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 145.13 points, or 1.28 percent, to close the morning session at 11,463.87.
