China's equities rose slightly at the opening on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.97 points, or 0.07 percent, to 2,698.22.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.16 percent, or 18.17 points, to open at 11,674.25.
