China's equities dropped slightly at the opening on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 10.65 points, or 0.39 percent, to 2,687.71.
The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.44 percent, or 51.12 points, to open at 11,631.58.
