Chinese shares closed higher in the morning session on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.37 percent, or 9.75 points, to 2,674.03.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 125.08 points, or 1.09 percent, to end at 11,561.07.
