Chinese stocks opened lower Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.23 percent, or 5.63 points, to open at 2,446.23.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 10,126.88, down 35.18 points, or 0.35 percent.
