Chinese stocks opened lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.80 percent, or 19.24 points, to open at 2,391.20.
The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.95 percent, or 95.93 points to open at 9,997.89.
